Arbiter is offered only to residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account you confirm both. We verify location by request origin and may block or terminate access from outside the United States.
Arbiter is a software application that routes your messages to one of several third-party AI language models — currently including models from Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI — and returns their response. You are talking to software, not a person, at every point in the product. Which underlying model answers a given message is decided automatically; Arbiter does not let you choose a specific model.
AI-generated responses can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Arbiter is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice, and nothing in the product should be treated as such.
Arbiter is not a crisis service and is not staffed by humans who can respond to an emergency. If a message appears to express thoughts of self-harm or suicide, Arbiter will surface crisis resources (the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and the Crisis Text Line) alongside its response. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact emergency services directly.
Some messages are automatically screened and blocked before they are sent to any AI model — this includes content related to child sexual abuse material, which is reported as required by law. Every underlying AI provider also has its own acceptable-use policy; the strictest applicable policy governs any given message, and we may decline to answer, suspend, or terminate an account for violations of either our policy or a provider's.
Arbiter offers a free plan and a paid plan. Both include a daily allowance for escalated (“Go deeper”) responses and for image generation; free-plan allowances are smaller than paid-plan allowances. Limits are enforced automatically and reset daily. We do not display a running usage counter in the product by design; you will be notified only when a limit is reached.
[Pricing, billing terms, refund policy, and cancellation terms to be added.]
You may stop using Arbiter at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms, for abuse or fraud, or if legally required to do so.
Arbiter is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. [Standard limitation-of-liability and indemnification language to be drafted by counsel.]
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the product before they take effect.
